Two
05:44
|
|||
I would like to introduce you to two faces that I know
a child and a snake one will let the garden grow
one will eat the flowers
one will keep the peace
one will choke the hours
and one will eat the feast
one will shy from sunlight
and one will take the stars
the palest shade of white will leave the darkest scars
there are two
and only one is
gonna rule out of two
there are two
and only one is gonna rule
out of two
i would someday like to take you
to two places that I know
they’re not to far away from where
that garden tries to grow
one has copper ceilings
one is caked with rust
one is full of feeling and one will turn to dust
one has emerald driveways
and lions made of stone
one will hold you prisoner
and there you’ll remain all alone
there are two
and only one is gonna rule
out of two
there are two
and only one is gonna rule
out of two
out of two
out of two

House On A Hill
05:04
|
|||
OHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHAHHHHHH
There was a house on a hill
I can see it still
it was built over ground
it was built on ground that was not sound
turn away look away you must leave this house alone
turn away look away you must leave this house alone
there was a house on a hill
It’s memory haunts me still
there was a crystal chandelier
it was cut like diamonds and hung like tears
when you walk through the door you will sink right into the floor
when you walk through the door you will sink right into the floor
and the air possessed a certain kind of chill
and it was cold every day, every day of the year
whenever I was home alone
the walls I swear would start to moan
OHHHHHHH OHHHHHHHH OHHHAHHHHHH
I’m slipping sideways through the door
please don’t hate me I can’t take it anymore
the past is a permanent part of my existence
there’s no use of hiding out or dancing with resistance…

Livewire
05:15
|
|||
I’m a livewire
a hopped up junkie in a street fire
a souped up caddy with a flat tire
and i never know the time
cross continental
and in incidents I can be temperamental
I’ll stop and say hello if I feel so inclined
and I read in between the lines
dive into the depths of me
dive into the most violent of seas
I’m a black sheep
a mischief maker and a cool creep
I stay awake all night caught in my daydreams
and I guess this has always been
see i’m a slow burner
a record breaker and a sharp turner
i’m always in a hurry but I move slow
with nowhere to go
dive into the depths of me
dive into the most violet of seas
dive in into the most violent of me
dive in into the most
violent of seas
I am a mediocre menace but i’m worthwhile…

Double Down
05:55
|
|||
The sun set down
on Sunset strip
there was a man in the back of a stolen Cadillac
and he went quick
she was underaged
and far from home
the light that led the way had seemingly led her astray
she’s here with me
though you can’t see
I hide it all from you
It’s too much for me
I hide it all from you
so you don’t see
she’s here with me
she packed her bags at night evading her father’s sight
she knew he’d disapprove and thought she had nothing to loose
silently she shut the door and headed for the train
anticipation swept through her like bubbles in champaign
nothing would ever be the same
she’s here with me
though you don’t see
I hide it all from you
It’s too much for me
I hide it all from you
so you don’t see
she’s here with me
after three days
they reconvened
with all the candidates who had made it on the list
or so it seemed
some girls were crying and others acted strange
she held on to her last strand of hope in vein
nothing would ever be the same
when you go to sleep tonight
just hold on it will be alright…

I am the luckiest girl in the world
I am the luckiest girl in the world
I am the luckiest girl in the world
so I’m singing for you
I’m singing for you
I shed my last layer of skin
I shed my last layer of skin
I’ll sink if I don’t swim
so I’m singing I’m singing for you
I’m singing for you
There’s a darkness before the dawn
when everything seems quite wrong
there’s a darkness before the dawn
so I’m singing for you
I’m singing for you
I am the luckiest girl in the world
I am the luckiest girl in the world
I am the luckiest girl in the world
so I’m singing for you
I’m singing for you
in the world
OHHHHHHHH
and so I’m singing, singing for you
I’m singing for you...I
